The Speech and Drama Teachers of Ireland Festival has been running for 36 years and has grown into a major event in our annual calendar.

Workshops – our next workshop will be with renowned Drama Education Facilitator, Patrice Baldwin. We look forward to welcoming Patrice to Dublin on August 17th, 2024. Thank you to Griffith College, Dublin for hosting us on what is sure to be a wonderful day!

FEIS 2025 –  LIVE FINALS: April 6th

We look forward to welcoming existing and new entrants from all over the country, and will ensure that the Feis is accessible to as many students as possible.

All members are eligible to enter their students into the variety of competitions on offer and we encourage them to do so. We endeavour to create a child-centered, relaxed and encouraging atmosphere for all students and the board wants to support every teacher to get involved.

Children from five to eighteen years of age take part with their peers to win medals, trophies, and bursaries. Our adjudicators are experts in their fields and competitions range from Poetry, Solo Drama, Mime, Duologues, Television Presenting, Write Your Own Poem, etc.

Taking part in the Feis allows students the opportunity to showcase their work to their peers, an audience, and the adjudicator in a safe, encouraging, and supportive environment. Students also have the opportunity to watch other children from all over Ireland perform bringing great enjoyment and learning.

The Festival is open to drama schools throughout Ireland for teachers who are members of the Speech and Drama Teachers of Ireland. Adjudicators are invited from a list of experienced teachers and examiners from a broad spectrum of Speech & Drama colleges.

Welcome – we are looking froward to meeting you!
