Bio
David Farmer is a freelance theatre director and drama lecturer. He worked as a primary school teacher before moving into professional theatre production. He established Tiebreak Theatre Company in 1981, directing, writing and producing shows and workshops for children and young people in schools, theatres, art centres and festivals across Great Britain, Canada and the USA. Since 2005 he has worked widely as a drama consultant, published five books on educational drama and established the website dramaresource.com. He continues to direct theatre and trains teachers internationally.
Workshop
In this one-day programme, you will play drama games, practise drama strategies to use across the curriculum and explore ways into scripts and performance. David will share approaches developed through years of theatre-making and teacher-training. The methods will cover a wide range of content for different age-groups and can be adapted for many contexts.
